Vijay Prashad calls this changing power balance, where the United States can no longer impose its will on countries, a “new mood.” Washington c...

To a NYC audience, Prashad Marxist sinologist, defends China, speaks the truth, point out the guilty, ignorant, and evil party, including his own government. Inconceivable, even in America 37 million people struggle for food and shelter.

Marx uses Hegel. It matters not if the usage is inverted. Just makes Marx look more dependent on Hegel. And marx never says dialectical materialistism is the only lens to look at history through. Its a witheted moribund lens. Finally, dude. Shut up and teach the text. You're so irrelevant and annoying id rather re read the garbage in Kapital than listen to your fake teeth spit ugly infectious sounds. Its not about you, dog.

The medical example is ridiculous. The reason why heart-related ailments have had more medical advancement is because orders of magnitude more people will suffer from heart problems in their life (rich and poor) than will have sickle-cell disease. These issues are also lower-hanging fruit than the world of genetics which has been much harder to solve. We only recently have even fully mapped out the human genome. As if the proletariat doesn’t suffer from heart problems either, or that there’s no bourgeoise with sickle cell disease.

Instead of reading Marx, one needs to analyze Marx's prose, where we identify... Marx's Foundational Tautology Marx writes (Chapter 24, first paragraph, Capital, 1867), "Hitherto we have investigated how surplus-value emanates from capital; we have now to see how capital arises from surplus-value." See the tautology? How did this tautology get past the initial reviews? How did this tautology survive the intervening 157 years without being discovered, except for this political scientist? This again illustrates the magnitude of the Marxist co-option of our institutions. Let's analyze the sentence's tautology... Surplus value is generated by capital, but capital is created by surplus value!

I always find to be more persuasive and authentic whenever a non-Marxist articulate the narrative of Marxism evident in Isaiah Berlin's writing on Marx's biography except, of course, in the exposition of Balibar. And yes, Harvey, yet I don't know what his political and ideological affiliations are.

At the end, the discussion about the biggest hurdle is changing mental conceptions, especially in regards to people educated in contemporary economics, reminds me very much of a formative experience I had in my high school economics education. There was an "economic summit" put on which was meant to be an event that showcased and illustrated the principles of the world economy in a sort of micro-simulation; kids all over the city playing different countries who all had different resources trading together to try and compete for and complete economic objectives. It was billed to us as a way for us to see supply and demand in action and engage in the mechanics of bartering and bargaining based on mutual needs. I went to two of them, and what actually happened was bullying, lying, backstabbing, stealing, strongarming/mafia tactics, bribing, and collusion; with a few larger countries basically able to control the market and leaving any smaller countries completely at the mercy of how those other countries decided to engage with them. It was profoundly unfair and farcical. Based almost entirely on the whims of personalities and power, and almost nothing at all about fair trade and "supply and demand". At the time I thought "that didn't teach us anything about economics". And I was thoroughly confused about the whole affair. In hindsight, the more I learn about the world economy's true functioning, the more I see the summits DID (though not in the way they were intended) teach us about how the world economy worked, and it was the classes which were educating us incorrectly.

To anyone who has just stumbled on this video, let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain. But you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you here. Do you know what I’m talking about? Michael Hudson has uncovered the TRUTH, and it's much bigger than most people's small minds can even imagine. It's a conspiracy that cuts across all nations, all epochs. It explains everything that happens to everyone everywhere, from the day they are born until the day they die. It is the grandest of conspiracies, in plain view, yet hidden. Morpheus
